Teaching on Winter Qur'anic Arabic Retreat
Born in Syria, Imam Safi studied at Al-Azhar University, completing B.A. Arabic & Islamic Studies in 2000 in very good grades. He went on to study for Diploma Arabic &Islamic Studies at Al-Fath Institute in Syria and completed that in 2003.
He has awarded an MA Islamic Studies by Loughborough University in 2006. Currently doing doctoral research at Markfield Institute of Higher Education.
He has taught at al-Fatih institute in Damascus at an advanced level. For the beginners, he usually teaches the Al-Arabiyyah baina Yadaik it covers all levels but it does not have listening elements. Therefore, he has recorded some audios by for this purpose. To advanced students, he teaches classical books like al-Alfiyya gatrun Nada wa balus Sada etc
He is keen to work for correcting the misunderstanding about Islam among Muslims and non-Muslims and spread the knowledge of Arabic language.
He has written several articles including Ibn Taymiyya’s stance on Sufism; An analytical study on the seven letters (Ahruf Sab’ah) and other articles. Books: Stories of the prophets (team work); how to prompt the role of the mosque in the UK (MA research); and some books in Arabic especially in Shafi’i madhab.
He is married and his wife is also a graduate in Arabic literature.
