After finished A-levels in his hometown of Manchester, Ustadh Mohammed Yusuf went to study at the Institute European Des Scienes Humaines (IESH) in France where he studied Arabic. There he also received an Ijaazah in Quran by the reading of Hafs 'an 'Aasim by the way of ash-Shatibiyyah. At present, he is studying Dentistry at the University of Sheffield where he also teaches Tajweed weekly. He has taught Qur'anic Arabic level 1 at Markfield in winter 2010 where he was a very popular teacher.
