Islamic Studies - Foundation |

This is part of the Knowledgeseekers - Summer '10 Course.
KS Islamic Studies Summer Course is an intensive course seeking to educate and empower Muslims with the requisite knowledge to understand their religion in the light of a changing world. This curriculum strikes a balance between such traditional subjects as Fiqh, Tafsir and Seerah with a look at contemporary issues in Islam and Modernity and Islam in UK. Moreover, the Summer Program will also imbibe the students with the Tarbiyah (training) to make them better Muslims with daily Quran reading and classes such as Muslim Character. |

Advanced Islamic Studies - Da'wah |
This is part of the Knowledgeseekers - Summer '10 Course.
This course will guide students through the complexity of da’wah today: effective communication requires not only a sound understanding of the message, but also an awareness of the public’s preconceptions, values and culture. This course will show how, rather than simply preaching, effective da’wah is understanding, learning, sharing ideas and experiences, and that transforming attitudes is more important than the utterance of well-worn phrases. |

Quranic Arabic - Beginner |

This is part of the Knowledgeseekers - Summer '10 Course. The Quranic Arabic Beginner course is specifically designed for students who have little or no previous knowledge of the Arabic language. Its aim is to enable you to develop a basic vocabulary as well as a grasp of fundamental grammatical structures utilizing frequently occurring Quranic words so that you capable of understanding and communicating in both spoken and written Arabic. There will be approx 8 contact hours per day during which 5 modules will be taught. |

Quranic Arabic - Intermediate |

This is part of the Knowledgeseekers - Summer '10 Course. The Quranic Arabic Intermediate course is specifically designed for students who have completed QA- 101. Its aim is further consolidate a basic vocabulary as well as a grasp of fundamental grammatical structures utilizing frequently occurring Quranic words so that you capable of understanding and communicating in both spoken and written Arabic. There will be approximately 8 contact hours per day during which 5 modules will be taught. |

Quranic Arabic - Advanced |

This is part of the Knowledgeseekers - Summer '10 Course.
The Quranic Arabic - Advanced course is specifically designed for students who have completed the beginner and intermediate course. Its aim is further consolidation of fundamental grammatical structures utilizing frequently occurring Quranic words so that you capable of understanding and communicating in both spoken and written Arabic. Specialist unvowelled texts have been introduced to develop the skill of translation from Arabic into English. There will be approximately 8 contact hours per day during which 6 modules will be taught.
