This is part of the Knowledgeseekers - Summer '10 Course.
The Quranic Arabic - Advanced course is specifically designed for students who have completed the beginner and intermediate course. Its aim is further consolidation of fundamental grammatical structures utilizing frequently occurring Quranic words so that you capable of understanding and communicating in both spoken and written Arabic. Specialist unvowelled texts have been introduced to develop the skill of translation from Arabic into English. There will be approximately 8 contact hours per day during which 6 modules will be taught.
Course Prerequisites
- Participants must have finished the beginner and intermediate course.
- Participants will be assessed prior to entry in the Qur'anic Arabic Programmes.

- Verbs with hamzah
- Verbs with weak radicals
- Quadrilateral verbs
- Interrogative particles and pronouns, vocative particles
- Kaana and her sisters
- Cardinal and ordinal numbers
- Exception
- Verbs of wonder and praise
- Special uses of particles in Qur'an
- Parables, metaphors and similes usage in Qur'an
- Emphasis and Mode styles in Qur'an
