Course Content
Using inspiring talks and interactive workshops, this intensive, professional-level course will take you through
- How to revive the sunnahs of leadership and organising
- Islamic etiquette of organising
- Realising the potential of the shura (consultation) process
- What makes a great leader (with reference to the example of Muhammad SAAWS and contemporary theory of effective leadership (Covey’s 8 Characteristics of Principle-Centred leaders)
- Analysis of our present context: why organise?
Course Leaders
- Ustadh Dr Bustami Mohamed Khir (to be confirmed): Senior Lecturer in Islamic Law and Islamic Political Thought, PhD (Edinburgh).
- Ustadh Tahir Alam: Assistant secretary-general of the Muslim Council of Britain and Chair of its Education Committee. He is also vice-chair of the Association of Muslim Schools and until recently, director of training at Al-Hijrah Training Academy in Birmingham.
- Ustadh Maroof Shafi: Ex-president Bradford Branch of ISB, Lecturer in IT Bradford College, student of Shaykh Tajul Islam (who trained at Al-Azhar & under Sh. Murabit al Hajj, Mauritania).
- Dr Mohammed Hanif (to be confirmed): A GP who has been the President of Birmingham barnch of the Islamic Soceity of Britian for many years. He has given talks on many topics about Muslims' role in the British society and importance of spiritual development.
